#29 – 1D Tuto – Pincer Start & Stop

This trick is part of the Diabolo Trick Roadmap (also available on Amazon) which is a skill tree (containing 337 tricks from 1 to 3 diabolos) designed to give you a personalized list of tricks you’re ready to learn, taking into account the tricks you already know.

The pincer is a nice way of starting or stopping your diabolo and it is fairly easy to learn.

Prerequisites

#2 (1) Throw & catch

Step By Step Explanation

Pincer start

1. Put your diabolo against your forearm and hold it there with your right stick.

2. Point your stick down and to the right while still holding the diabolo with your stick.

3. Draw a semi-circle with your right hand, releasing the diabolo at shoulder height. This will give your diabolo some spin while throwing it up.

4. Catch the diabolo.

Pincer stop

1. Throw the diabolo a bit to your left.

2. When the diabolo is coming down, prepare to catch it by raising your right hand up and to the left with the stick away from your forearm.

3. Catch the diabolo by trapping it with the stick while following the diabolo’s trajectory.
