About

Hi ! I’m Chloe. I’ve been juggling with diabolos for more than 15 years and this is the website I wish I could have learned from when I was starting out. This is where I’ll be sharing everything I know.

I started juggling with diabolos in 2001 after watching an act from a circus show my mum recorded on a VHS. I found it so cool that I bought 2 diabolos the next day. And then… I struggled to learn tricks. I was living in an area with no diabolo players around, so I watched and re-watched the tape to the point it got erased to try to learn the tricks from the act. The learning process was hard and slooow !

I then tried to find tutorials on the internet and the only thing I could find was https://www.diabolotricks.com/ where the tutorials were written instructions with tiny animations (check it out, it hasn’t changed!).

After a while I found a French juggling forum where I discovered there was juggling conventions.

In 2006, I went to my first convention and for the first time could learn from fellow diabolo players. There I learned way more in two days than in weeks on my own. I also heard about THE diabolo forum https://diabolo.ca/ , the community and the feedback and advice I got there helped me improve a lot.

After 7 years, this is where I was :

I still had a lot to learn and I still do. My list of tricks to learn is several pages long.

DiaboloDB is the website I wish I had access to when I was starting out. I hope you’ll enjoy what I’m putting together and that your progress will be faster and easier than mine.

Have fun on your diabolo journey ! And share the diabolove !
