This trick is part of the Diabolo Trick Roadmap (also available on Amazon) which is a skill tree (containing 337 tricks from 1 to 3 diabolos) designed to give you a personalized list of tricks you’re ready to learn, taking into account the tricks you already know.
The catch is a nice way to stop your diabolo. It is very easy to learn as long as you remember to have your diabolo not spin too fast.
This tutorial is written for righties, so if you are left handed, don’t forget to mirror the instructions.

1. Place both sticks in a V in your right hand
2. Do a sun (clockwise or counterclockwise – both work, so choose whichever feels easier) while still holding your sticks in a big V.
3. When the diabolo comes back down, catch it between the 2 sticks .
