#148 – Vertax Tuto – Isolation

This trick is part of the Diabolo Trick Roadmap (available on Amazon) which is a skill tree (containing 337 tricks from 1 to 3 diabolos) designed to give you a personalized list of tricks you’re ready to learn, taking into account the tricks you already know.

The vertax isolation (also called top spinning) is a trick where the diabolo stays still in the air, creating the illusion of floating in place, while you spin under it. It is one of the easiest vertax tricks and looks really cool.

As always the tutorial is described for righties so if you are left handed switch right and left in the step by step explanation.

Prerequisites

#88 (V) Vertax

Step By Step Explanation

1. Get into vertax, your diabolo should have an internal wrap.

2. When your diabolo is in front of you during the chinese acceleration motion, wrap it again with your left hand (creating an external wrap on top of the internal one).

3. Lift your hands above your head, your body and arms should look like a Y. The diabolo is directly above your head

4. Spin under the diabolo, the diabolo will stay still in the air while your body moves around.

5. Undo the external wrap with your left hand with your hands still above your head.

6. You only have the internal wrap now and can start the vertax chinese acceleration again while lowering your hands in the normal position.
