The Fritz release is one of the basic magic knot, it’s a very useful trick to know to exit the darkside string position especially when you’re juggling with 2 diabolos.
This trick can be done on the left or on the right, just make sure you do the trapeze (step 2) on the same side as the darkside catch.
As always the tutorial is described for righties so if you are left handed switch right and left in the step by step explanation.

Step By Step Explanation
1. Do a right darkside catch
2. Do a right trapeze. Keep your sticks pointing upwards slightly to avoid dropping the knot and the diabolo
3. With your sticks close together, throw the diabolo outside of the sticks. This will release the knot
4. Catch the diabolo normally
