The sun is one of the first tricks you can learn after learning the 2 low shuffle. It’s not the easiest one to learn (as the motion to avoid wrapping the second diabolo takes a while to get used to), but it unlocks a plethora of new tricks when mastered.
As always the tutorial is described for righties so if you are left handed switch right and left in the step by step explanation.
Prerequisites

- 2 low shuffle (#82 or #83 or #84 or #134)
Step By Step Explanation

1. When doing the shuffle, push one diabolo harder to the left (with your right hand) to start the sun motion and turn your body 90° to the left.
2. When the pushed diabolo reaches the left stick, pull your left stick towards you in a clockwise circle.
3. When the second diabolo passes between your arms, make sure your right elbow is pointing outwards to create enough space for the diabolo to go through. If you don’t, you will end up with an external wrap on it.
4. When the sun is done, face forward again to go back to the 2D shuffle.
