This trick is part of the Diabolo Trick Roadmap (available on Amazon) which is a skill tree (containing 337 tricks from 1 to 3 diabolos) designed to give you a personalized list of tricks you’re ready to learn, taking into account the tricks you already know.
This trick is called infinite suicide because it’s a suicide you can in theory do forever, as it gives speed to the diabolo.
It is easier to learn with a fixed axle and a slightly worn out string (so the diabolo doesn’t slide down too much).
As always the tutorial is described for righties so if you are left handed switch right and left in the step by step explanation.
Prerequisites
#24 Slowcide
Step By Step Explanation
1. Accelerate your diabolo, but not too much as the more speed the diabolo has, the faster the stick will go. When you’ve mastered this trick, you will be able to do it with almost no speed to begin with!
2. Do an internal wrap and keep your diabolo close to the right stick.
3. Release the left stick as you would do in a slowcide and at the same time pull your right stick up a bit. Lifting the right stick will help you keep the diabolo close to it and also give spin to the diabolo. If your diabolo slides down the string, you can always pull up harder to bring the diabolo back up.
4. As the left stick travels around the diabolo (trying to unwrap it), you need to rewrap with your right hand. Getting the right timing for pulling and rewrapping will take some getting used to. A rough guideline is when the left stick is on the left of the diabolo, you pull up and when the left stick is on the right of the diabolo, you rewrap. It will look like your drawing a rain drop with the end of your right stick.
5. Repeat the pulling and rewrapping motion as long as you wish.
6. Catch the left stick as you would in the slowcide trick.
