The genocide is a stick release trick where the diabolo also leaves the string (unlike the suicide where you release the stick but the diabolo stays on the string).
Like the majority of stick release tricks, it’s easier to learn with a shorter string. You will also need plenty of space around you to perform this trick, so I’d recommend to do it outside if you don’t have a really high ceiling.
As always the tutorial is described for righties so if you are left handed switch right and left and counterclockwise with clockwise in the step by step explanation.

1. Get in the darkside position.
2. Start doing a counterclockwise sun. The sun motion needs to be fast enough to give momentum to the stick. If the sun is too slow the diabolo will drop before the stick comes back around.
3. When the diabolo is above your right shoulder, release the right stick.
4. Let the stick travel all the way around counterclockwise, so the string is under the diabolo.
5. Catch the diabolo by letting the flying stick wrap around it, then catch the stick. You will need to align the string with the diabolo axle by adjusting the position of your left hand (move the hand forward if you need the string to go forward and move the left hand backward to get the string closer to you).
6. You are now in the wrap position, internal wrap if the stick went between you and the diabolo or external if the stick went in front of the diabolo.
7. Unwrap the diabolo to get back to the open string position.
