  • 1D Tuto – Chinese Suicide
The chinese suicide is a cool way of exiting the trapeze position. This trick can be done with a trapeze on the right or on the left. You will need roughly the same amount of speed you would need to exit the trapeze the “normal” way. As always the tutorial is described for righties so… Read more: 1D Tuto – Chinese Suicide
  • 1D Tuto – Cat’s Cradle
The cat’s cradle is harder to do with a short string as you need space to throw the diabolo between the strings. As always the tutorial is described for righties so if you are left handed switch right and left in the step by step explanation. Prerequisites Trapeze Step By Step Explanation 1. Do a… Read more: 1D Tuto – Cat’s Cradle
  • 1D Tuto – Leg Orbit
This trick is very quick and easy to learn. When you’ve mastered it, the leg orbit will accelerate your diabolo. The leg orbit is a body move, so it helps if your string is not too short. As always the tutorial is described for righties so if you are left handed switch right and left… Read more: 1D Tuto – Leg Orbit
  • 1D Tuto – Grind
The grind is an impressive trick for non-jugglers, it is fairly easy to learn but it requires a lot of speed as the friction of the axle against the stick is great. This trick is easier to learn with a wide axle and even easier with a bearing diabolo, but you can definitely master it… Read more: 1D Tuto – Grind
  • 1D Tuto – Orbit
An orbit, as the name suggests, is a trick where the diabolo has a regular, repeating path around something (arm, leg, …). In the case of the simple orbit, the diabolo doesn’t go around anything, but draws a circle in the air. This trick, like any orbits done clockwise for righties and anti-clockwise for lefties,… Read more: 1D Tuto – Orbit
  • 1D Tuto – Correcting The Tilt: Turning
This technique is not necessary at first, but a good one to work on early on. It allows you to keep your diabolo facing the audience when you’re performing. It will also be a necessary skill to have when you learn the 2 diabolo shuffle to keep your diabolos aligned. I highly recommend to learn… Read more: 1D Tuto – Correcting The Tilt: Turning
  • 1D Tuto – Darkside Catch
This trick is an absolute must-know and you should learn the darkside catch on the right AND on the left. As always the tutorial is described for righties so if you are left handed switch right and left in the step by step explanation. Prerequisites Throw and catch Step By Step Explanation 1. Throw the… Read more: 1D Tuto – Darkside Catch
  • 1D Tuto – Whip Acceleration
The whip acceleration is a more efficient way to gain speed than the basic acceleration and it’s easy to learn. When learning the whip acceleration, your diabolo may fly horizontally on your left or right at high speed, so make sure you have enough space and nothing breakable in the vicinity. As always the tutorial… Read more: 1D Tuto – Whip Acceleration
  • 1D Tuto – Suicide
The suicide is the first stick release trick you should learn. It is the easiest one to master. It is a variation of the sun where you start and end up in the normal open string position. Having a shorter string will help with the suicide, as with almost every trick that involve releasing and… Read more: 1D Tuto – Suicide
